The Birth of Baking

My passion for baking and cooking started at a very early age. My earliest memory is kneeling on a stool in my grandma Watson’s kitchen and watching in awe as she worked her magic with flour, sugar, butter and eggs to create the most delightful  sponges, fruit cakes, scones, flapjacks and pies, to name but a few.

I would eagerly run into her garden to collect gooseberries or apples, when in season, so that we could make apple pie or crumble. The birth of baking for me was the first time my Grandma Watson allowed me to delve my hands in the big pottery bowl and work the flour and butter to make breadcrumbs. Although I think more flour ended up on me and my apron, but that was the start of something very special.

Little did I know back then, that this inner passion and love for baking would finally evolve into my present journey and determination to create gluten free goodies that taste just like Grandma used to make.

It has taken me years to realise that the dream job for me is to bake and to cook…so join me on my adventure, as I take the leap of faith, that I only recently had the courage to do.
